PAINTING ON CANVAS
What prompted me to paint on canvas? Unlike painting on kids, canvases doesn’t giggle, wiggle, move, smile, or laugh. What a luxury to be able to apply a brush on a medium without a timer.

CHERRY BLOSSOM AND LANTERN
This particular artwork, acrylic on canvas, is of a mighty cherry blossom tree in full bloom. It beings positive energy into any room. It’s branches wants to extend skyward, however, is weighted down by the three dimensional beaded lantern. This original-designed lantern is hand made by a 94-year old woman, my mom, who was then 72.

SILVER & SLATE BLUE INFINITY
The living room walls were bare and I wanted to tie in the colors of my sofa to the Oriental rug. Coincidentally, my friend Janet gave me a 3′ x 4′ canvas. The ghetto side of me came out with a passion. I found three cans of spray paint in the garage: beige, slate blue, and silver. In 10 minutes after the aerosol fog settled the simple silver and slate blue infinity painting was done. Articulated on the glass pieces are three orchids which match the real orchids next to it on the shelf.
